“Christmas starts for us when we have seen the Harrogate Lions with Santa”, this is one of the many warm comments that we have received as we tour the streets with our Sleigh and Santa. It is a real pleasure to see so many happy families out to welcome us as we journey around the Town

The Lions Club are very pleased to learn that they have been successful in securing a nomination and being one of the charities selected by Pannal Coop for their new community funding project.
We were very pleased and proud to be awarded the Peter H. Shaw award for the Lion’s District 105C best community project. This was presented at the District convention in a very blustery Bridlington last month. The convention was great fun, especially seeing all the clubs in costume at the fancy dress dinner, and it was also informative, giving us lots of new ideas we can use here in Harrogate. We were also able to thank all the Lions clubs across the District who had donated to the HELP appeal.
The award is a great tribute to all the people from Harrogate and beyond who attended events, climbed hills, ran, cycled and donated over the 10 months it took to raise the £80.000 needed.
